Project Overview
As part of the Riyadh Metro project development, BM Cranes managed the night-time lifting and alignment of heavy concrete viaduct segments. This required high-speed execution to prevent daytime traffic disruptions.
Key Challenges

Lifting within tight night-time window (12:00 AM to 5:00 AM).

Confined public roads with high overhead clearance hazards.

Handling asymmetric pre-cast concrete blocks.
Execution & Methodology
- Deployed dual 500-tonne mobile cranes for synchronous lift-and-swing operations.
- Engineered specialized spreader beams to handle concrete load distribution.
- Coordinated with Riyadh traffic police for temporary route diversions.
Results & Achievements
- Erected 18 major bridge spans with zero traffic delays.
- Achieved 100% compliance with RDA civil engineering standards.
- Awarded safety recognition shield by the BACS consortium.
