NEOM Tower Structure Installation

Project Overview

BM Cranes mobilized high-capacity crawler crane units to remote mountains in NEOM to erect complex structural steel frames for premium commercial and resort tower units.

Key Challenges

01

Remote location requiring self-sufficient mobile workshops and fuel logistics.

02

Strong desert wind gusts changing dynamically.

03

Steep gradients demanding specialized track pads and load-bearing soil platforms.

Execution & Methodology

  • Utilized real-time weather stations and anemometers on crane booms.
  • Engineered specialized ground-mats to spread heavy crawler ground pressures.
  • Mobilized operators, riggers, and lift managers in a fully integrated camp.

Results & Achievements

  • Successfully erected over 4,500 tonnes of structural steel.
  • Zero equipment downtime despite harsh desert conditions.
  • 100% incident-free safety record over the entire mobilization.
